What is Cowdrop?
Cowdrop is Kappa Sigma’s annual fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds go to the ENMU Foundation for scholarships, as well as the Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign.
About Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign
Created in 2007, the Military Heroes Campaign honors and aids thousands of military veterans and their families in communities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Since its inception, the campaign has donated over $1,000,000 to non-profit organizations who advocate on behalf of servicemen and women and those wounded in combat.
About ENMU Foundation
The ENMU Foundation offers a variety of scholarships designed to reward, encourage and assist you in your pursuit of academic excellence and leadership roles. Scholarships are awarded to qualified ENMU students who demonstrate academic excellence. The ENMU Foundation scholarships are established by generous alumni and benefactors and are reviewed by various committees across campus and awarded based on the established criteria.

Starting in 2016, Cowdrop funds also go into the new ENMU Stadium. The Theta-Zeta Chapter of Kappa Sigma has pledged $10,000 over the next 4 years to support our school’s project. We invite you to read KRQE’s report from 2016 here.
How does it work?
The Brothers of Kappa Sigma sell tickets that have a number on them; each number corresponds to a square in a cow arena. We release a cow into the arena, and the square it does its “business” in wins $1,000, and the 8 adjacent squares win $100!
How much is a ticket?
Tickets are $5 each, with a book of 10 tickets. There are no minimum or maximum purchases, so you may buy however many you like.
When will the 2020 Cowdrop take place?
Ticket sales start on March 16, and run through April 4. Extended to April 11.
Do I have to be present to win?
While anyone is welcome to come watch the event take place, you do not have to be present to win. The winners will be posted in the Portales and Clovis Newspapers, and we will contact the winners to inform them.
How do I buy tickets?
You can buy tickets from any Brother in person, or if you are long distance, you can use the following methods:

If you choose to send in a check or cash, please include your name, phone number, and an email address so we can put your information on the tickets, as well as contact you if you win. We prefer and strongly recommend you do NOT send cash in the mail.

There is a “Buy Now” button below that will redirect you to our Web store, powered by PayPal, which is a safe way of online payment. There you can choose between a book or books, as well as a ticket or tickets.
I’m a business owner. What can Cowdrop do for me?
We have a special deal with any businesses interested in making a charitable donation to Cowdrop. As part of the winner announcement, Theta-Zeta posts an ad in the local newspapers (Clovis/Portales, NM). By purchasing a single “book” of tickets ($50), you can have your business represented in this ad. For a larger donation of $200, your business will be given a Business sponsorship, making your name bigger and more prominent.
